Complex October Issue

Clipse is back with their third album and are covering Complex's October issue. Don't ask us when they came out with a second. We had no idea one existed. Their new single featuring Pharrell is HOTT, though.

Former Buffy rival, Eliza Dushku, is staring in a new series called DollHouse. Guess they made her lose weight for the role because she looks sick. Not in a good way. If you divert your eyes behind the skinny white girl, you will notice some sick (in a good way) magazine design.

Megan Fox cover's Nylon's October issue. Her new movie "Jennifer's Body" premiered at number five in the box office, but has gotten rave Twitter reviews. Here are some clips from her Nylon interview.

On her recent rise to fame:

“I think that I’m really overexposed. I was part of a movie that [the studio] wanted to make sure would make $700 million, so they oversaturated the media with their stars, I don’t want to be in magazines every week and on the Internet everyday. I don’t want to have people get completely sick of me before I’ve ever even done something legitimate.”

Why you should see her in Jennifer’s Body:
“It’s a comedy, which no one has really seen me do before. It might be a complete failure on my part. But the fact that I had to really put myself out there is totally different than being able to hide behind the magic of ILM [Industrial Light and Magic, which did special effects for Transformers]. That’s no hiding from anything. There’s nothing there to distract you from my performance. So if it’s bad, it’s going to be fucking bad for me. And if it’s good, then I will have achieved something on some level.”

Website Hauteness: Lastnightsparty.com

Photo by Bronques, from the album "Dolphins"

Crack Rock affiliate, BK, introduced us to Last Night's Party. She said she met, photographer, Bronques? when he approached her on her stoop in NYC. She liked him and was impressed with his verbal resume.
He is certainly a talented individual. Not only has he mastered the art of photography, but he is also a master of capturing people at their most natural, drunk, naked, and/or same-sex smooching moments. His work is diverse. He does concerts, parties, hotel room maddness, pool parties, etc.
Here's some of his work. Hopefully we dont get sued.

Who is Melanie Fiona?

Nice track, sad video, cute girl, but who is Melanie Fiona?

New Video: Amerie - Heard 'Em All

Amerie's new deal with Def Jam shows how determined she is to keep doing what she loves. A lot of artists would have fallen off by now.
Now, she's back with a new video and a new album dropping Nov. 3 world wide.
Crack Rock Surprise has had a thing for Amerie since she appared on the scene in 2003 in her first video for her debut single "Why Don't we Fall in Love". That song is the first track on her debut album, All I Have. That album was executively produced by Rich Harrison, producer of Beyonce's go-go inspired hit "Crazy In Love". That album was, All I Have, is also Amerie's best and most listenable album.
We've heard all her albums, even the one that only released in the UK (Because I Love it) and even the mixtape (Because I Love It Mixtape Vol. 1), but none have been better than her work with Rich Harrison. He used to manage Amerie until the two split up before the release of her second album, Touch.
You can tell Def Jam was going for more go-go sounding songs for Amerie, since that is the genre she spawned from.
We're feeling this video and the song. This is the best video we've seen from Amerie, who always looks sexy, since that day she was the New Joint on 106 with "Why Don't we Fall in Love". Hopefully this record sells and she is given the oppertunity to continue her career on Def Jam. We would like to see her grow as an artist. It's just too bad she hasn't grown a lot over the past six years.

Download This: Get Fresh - Kid Sister

Photo via Google

Kid Sister is one of those artists who just never blew up the way they were supposed to. We're not trying to say that she has the most talent, but instead trying to say that she just never blew up. (She's not dead, btw)

This track is probably old, though. We only heard it two days ago and fell in love. It's definitely Crack Rock approved. It's from the album "Dream Date" (we're not sure if ever it dropped). We admire her delivery on this track. It's like she's the Domino's girl delivering a hot box of cockiness and swagtastic articulation.

Download This: Paparazzi - Lady GaGa

Photo via Concrete Loop

Lady GaGa's VMA performance started out a lot like her video for the song Paparazzi, but it ended a bit "dark" to say the least. Weirdness and all, Lady GaGa gained a lot of respect from Crack.Rock.Surprise that night. Despite if it fit everyone's taste, the performance had a concept, and that is something many artists don't give us these days.

We can't find a suitable video of the performance to post, but we're sure MTV will be airing the VMAs for the next 6 months, regularly.

Kanye Apologizes

Everyone knows about how Kanye West stole Taylor Swift's moment at the VMAs last Sunday. There's no need to harp on that incredible, rude and historic moment anymore than every other blog, newspaper and television broadcast already has. What we want to do instead is show West apologize to America.

He said in his blog that he talked to Swift's mother the night of the VMAs and apologized for his stunt. Swift herself told ABC News Radio that she received a phone call from West saying

"Kanye did call me and he was very sincere in his apology and I accepted that apology," she said.

I will say this: Beyonce' really did have the greatest video of all-time, but I think MTV was trying to spread the love to other artists who deserved the accolades. Plus, I'm happy this happened. The VMAs is all about unexpected moments. This one was definitely one of the greatest Crack.Rock.Surprise has seen.

Swag Theif on the Loose

Photo Via ConcreteLoop

Here's a picture of Rihanna partying recently at an event called Fashion is Life. She looks amazing. I lover her shades, her hair, her make up? But who does she remind you of? The answer is: M.I.A.

Recently, I read a blog on Necole Bitchie about an interview FeFe Dobson did in Honey Magazine. The reporter asked her if she felt that Rihanna stole her style. She graciously shrugged it off, and she only said that there are some similarities.

I'm a Rihanna fan. I'm not trying to dog her out. I am simply calling her out. She's not as original as one would think. Think about the fact that Dobson used to be on Def Jam before anyone even knew who RIhanna was. Then, Dobson's dropped and RiRi goes bad. I can't wait to hear what her new album sounds like. Kala?
