So, Dev has a video for that song "Dancing in the Dark," and it features Dev in a land where hands are really important. Dev finds herself at peace with undies made of live hands in a sea of live hands. I only want to mention one more thing about this video (besides the all-black color scheme): creepy shadow people. But the Cataracs are really looking out with their constant production. They're helping Dev consistently release solid material. This chick has potential to blow up. But do you like the video?

Sin City 2 Production Announced At Comic Con
Above:Robert Rodriguez and The Crazy Babysitter Twins
It's been rumored to be happening for the past six years, and now we finally have confirmation. Today (July 22) at Comic Con, uber-successful Latino director Robert Rodriguez announced that Sin City 2 is in the works, but only a third of it is written.
"Frank [Miller] has written a script for Sin City 2," he said. "It's called A Dame To Kill For. We're following the structure of the first film with three stories and a wrap-around. There's two new stories in there; one is called The Long Bad Night. It could be shot as early as this year - this is the closest we've been and if it's going to happen, it's going to happen this year. I'd love to do that in 3D, because I have an idea to do that in a way that 3D hasn't been used before."
He can keep the 3D, that fad needs to die already. But besides that, I'm excited to hear more about it especially cast members. There was this huge rumor going around that Angelina Jolie was signed up for the film, but only time will tell if that's true.

Kreayshawn's "Left Eye" Track Might Blow "Gucci Gucci" Out The Water
By now we all know the story of little Kreayshawn from the Bay area, and we either love or loathe her debut single "Gucci Gucci." Well, she's been doing some minor touring in major U.S. cities with a four-track set list. And in addition to her "Gucci" claim to fame, there's a stand out track in her set called "Left Eye." It's a based-out street banger in which Kreayshawn catches her man with another woman before she goes all kinds of crazy-woman memes from the past including not only burning down a house like Left Eye but going Lorena Bobbit and Amy Winehouse. I'm sure women and gay men will relate to this one, and it's so Gucci Mane-Lil' B-sounding that guys will like it too. It has potential and shows hope that maybe Kreayshawn will stick around longer than 15 minutes.

Pharrell Qreams out
Black people love to misspell some shit, don't we? Well Pharrell's bringing his personal brand of misspelled greatness to a liquor store near you. Think women, classy liqueurs and low-calorie drinks all wrapped into one. That's Qream Liqueur. It's pink, frothy and 95 percent lactose free. Diageo (The business that puts out Diddy's Ciroc) distributes it. And, if you haven't noticed yet Pharrell is using a 'q' instead of a 'c' or the ever-so-classy 'k' to begin the word cream to represent the word queen in an effort to attract women to the brand. Eva Marcelle was invited to the launch party to do some tasting.

Gaga is such a hooker
This is how the most famous bitch in the world goes to work, and she's not selling vagina. Gaga was spotted in the streets of NYC today wearing this three-piece leather ensemble with detachable components and chunky gold chains. This was either before or after she tweeted that she on her way to rehearse for a secret performance and video. Hopefully, this outfit is alluding to 'Government Hooker' because that's now stuck in my head.

Fashion: Learn from Fab's Mistakes and Keep it Simple
Really Fab? Your neck is doing entirely too much. Fabolous couldn't decide if he wanted to be a nerd or a rapper before this year's Summer Jam. The choice was between the Good Wood NYC magnetic bow tie or his Street Fam clique chain, and he chose both. Not a good look. One or the other, homie. Because style is about everything you have on making sense, and those two very noticeable accessories are making a commotion on his neck--not sweet music. But a lot of people probably thought this diamond-chain-bow-tie combination was acceptable. Funk Master Flex's site lauded this behavior. I just think this exhibits his indecisiveness (not to mention his tackiness).
If any of you are familiar with VH1 and its recent programming, you may have heard of a show called "Love & Hip Hop." Well, Fab's baby-mom Emily B is on the show, and she shares her dismal story of living in the shadows of Fab's life. The woman's last dying wish is for Fab to acknowledge her existence. She has been with him for eight years, has a son by him and is his stylist (side eye to that). But he won't take her down the red carpet and won't name her in his tracks.
But why does this surprise her? The man can't decide whether he wants to wear a bow tie or a chain before he performs in front of thousands of New Yorkers. Don't be shocked when he can't make his mind up about the women in his life. This man is walking around with his name misspelled, and apparently he didn't even choose it. DJ Clue did it for him. Indecisive...

Watch This: Jump Up in the Air & Stay There FEAT. Lil Wayne - Erykah Badu
The unlikely pair, Erykah Badu and Lil' Wayne, come together to take you on a psychedelic journey of purple and grey. Erykah rocks nicely-blended make up and a Michael Jackson 'fro, and Wayne swims through a purple haze of smoke. The video did the song justice by making me like it.
Erykah's second installment of her three-part New Amerykah series, Return of the Ankh. News is, the album will feature more live instruments and lyrics about love and romance. The title, New Amerykah, Part II: Return of the Ankh, tells fans that Erykah is going back to the style that made her famous in the late '90s; soulful and more easily understood.
I like how they included "Free Lil Wayne" subliminally at the end. If you didn't know, Wayne was supposed to go to jail three days ago, but his sentencing was pushed back.

Rihanna Bites M.I.A. Again
Today Rihanna's label premiered the video for her single 'Rude Boy'. Rihanna said she went back to her roots for the video. I see where she was coming from, but this video reminds me a lot of M.I.A.'s '07 video for her release, 'Boyz'. I also see a lot of ethnic patterns being used in this video. It's weird that patterns are being painted all over the mainstream today (Wait for A.Keys and Beyonce's new video to drop). That was underground before '09.
Besides biting underground artists, RiRi is exploring her sexuality and putting it all out there. We rarely see this from Miss Fenty. She's noticeably evolving from edgy to sexy since the release of Rated R.
On a positive note, RiRi is killing it in this video. It's nice to see her dance for once in her life, and the video is different. I just wish she wouldn't steal from people, especially M.I.A.

Video: Pon De Floor - Major lazer
Major Lazer "Pon De Floor" ft. Vybz Kartel and Afro Jack
Uploaded by DowntownMusic. - Watch more music videos, in HD!
It only takes about 20 seconds to realize that something in this video has gone terribly wrong. This is a great high-energy track produced by Diplo and Switch for their collaborative venture called Major Lazer. The album, Guns don't Kill People; Lazers do, was recorded in Jamaica, where they explored the dancehall/dub-step scene and created an album to reflect it. They do get extra hyper and freaky in the dancehall scene, but that's what this video is all about. It's almost unbelievable how crazy this is. I wish I knew where it came from. I think space.
